Our new campaign video is just around the corner

Last year, Change Starts Here, United Way's campaign music video made quite the impression and in many ways changed the way non-profits across Canada approach their annual campaign videos. And with less than a week away from our 2012 Campaign Kickoff, you might be wondering what we will be doing this year?

All summer, the community engagement team at United Way has been working closely with PlanIt Sound and their select team of 100% local artists and crew to bring you another powerful and captivating campaign video that uses music to deliver a message you can really feel.

From left to right, the video features three local artists: Dan Davidson - Lead singer of Tupelo Honey, Maigan van der Giessen - vocalist for Tzadeka and Yasmeen Najmeddine - a 2011 Edmonton Undiscovered Finalist. Each artist infuses the music video with his or her own unique musical style of rock, folk, and hip hop. That's right, this year's campaign video is actually a mashup of three songs that explore United Way's pillars of focus: Education, Income, and Wellness.

The video will launch at our campaign kickoff event Tuesday, September 18, 2012. If you don't have your tickets yet - get them today. This is one campaign event you won't want to miss.
